Hi Suzanne,
Got the RAIDER
launched & rigged. What a blast, it is a sweet sailing little boat. I put it
on my lift for my jet ski & it fit perfectly. Looking forward to getting the
spinnaker rigged.
Thanks for all your
help.

John,
We have just completed a
month of really great sailing on the Chesapeake in the RAIDER. It has
demonstrated all the characteristics your ads expound. I am just totally
pleased with equipment, handling and performance.... I sailed against
sloops like the Flying Scott, and the Mobjack, and could do very well
against them.... We had a number of high wind storms, and would
you believe the RAIDER flips over occasionally in such winds when on a
mooring. It always pops back up.... The "Waters" sail cover was very
convenient for securing the sail, and protecting against sun damage....
Lastly, my boat was in the water for a month, and did not take on any
water. A credit to both design, and builder.... I am totally satisfied
with my RAIDER.
Thanks, ...Bos Gorham

Dear John,
Just got back from Belize and sailing my new RAIDER from the beach. The
winds were blowing a solid 15 knots everyday. The RAIDER responded by
flying. We have named it Howler - after the Belize monkeys and after its
speed. Despite the heavy wind, there was very little pressure on the helm.
Except for sailing close hauled in gusts, we never got on the rail and
stayed at just the right heel. The boat is the most comfortable small boat I
have ever sailed in. When sitting on the floor, you can stretch your legs
and lean against the perfectly created backrest formed by the hull. When on
the rail, the wide deck makes for comfortable seating. Sailing a Hobie is
torture in comparison. The boat is beautifully made and well constructed.
All the parts worked. I liked the sail track option and the tiller extension
is a must. We spent hours streaking back and forth way outside the coral
heads while we viewed the mountains in the distance. One time, we were on a
broad reach going very fast, when we hit a wave just right and the wind
increased and we just took off. We thought we would go airborne. Great great
boat. And safe. With the Seitech dolly, it was easy to launch from the
beach. Thanks for the great job of packing it for shipping.

Hey John,
The new board is a
beautiful foil, thanks. The boat is quick and very responsive. I'm kickin
butts and taking names. Something strange and wonderful has happened though.
On various reaches the boat sings. Not just a constant note, like wind
through rigging, but various notes, like a flute but more mellow. I don't
know if it's coming from the rudder assembly or the boom. I attribute it to
the boat being happy. I know I am.

Hi John:
Thanks for your
assistance in sending a boat my way! I'm thrilled--she's a beauty--and you
ought to see the gorgeous sail Joe made for the boat! Your boat is just what
I was looking for --something I can manage myself (once I learn how to
sail--Bob and Joe may have told you that I'm a novice!). We have taken the
boat on it's maiden voyage so to speak. Joe took it for a test drive, then I
was lucky enough to get a sailing lesson with him! I can't thank you, Bob,
and Joe enough for helping my entry into sailing! Here's the info you need
for your records:

Again, thanks for a
beautiful boat! I'll keep you posted on how a beginner fares with a RAIDER
16!
